Year One.

Westlake Farm is a market garden in Broomfield - 12 outdoor beds plus a greenhouse, all tended by hand. This is our first season running a CSA, and all 15 member spots are filled. Extra produce is available for walk-up buying every Thursday.

Every Thursday we set up a stand at 14640 Tejon St. Just swing by between 4-5:30pm and grab what looks good. No need to sign up or commit to anything. We accept cash, Venmo, and Zelle.

No, we don't use any pesticides on the farm. For pest management we rely on sticky traps, trap crops, insect netting on crops like lettuce and leafy greens, and manual removal. We also plant flowers to attract beneficial insects, practice crop rotation and interplanting, and introduce beneficial nematodes.

We're not certified organic, but we farm as close to organic and regenerative practices as we can. All of our amendments are organic inputs like bone meal, blood meal, kelp meal, and vermicompost. We use organic liquid fertilizers like fish emulsion, and our compost is sourced from A1 Organics, which is OMRI listed for organic vegetable production.
